This page discusses how students can access their Adobe Connect virtual classrooms directly from the Adobe Connect application, which is the recommended method. If your system does not have a version of the Adobe Connect application, the article also covers accessing the classroom via the browser (specifically, see the section on locating classroom URLs).

 

Opening the Adobe Connect Application

If your computer meets the requirements and you’ve installed the Adobe Connect application, you can open classrooms directly from your computer without using a browser. After installation, you will have a new application named "Adobe Connect" with a logo similar to the one below:

 

 

Locating Classroom URLs

For using both the application and the browser, you will need the link to your virtual classroom.

Finding the URL on Schoology

The easiest way to find a classroom’s Adobe Connect URL is to visit the course’s Schoology page, where it can be located under the Information section to the left side of the page.

 

• Application users: copy the URL from here so you can paste it into the Adobe Connect application
• Browser users: click the link to launch the room
   

Note: The URL will be broken up into 2 lines—be sure to copy the entire URL.

 

Finding the URL in Adobe Connect

You can also find the URL on the homepage of your Adobe Connect account (kolbe.adobeconnect.com). The URL only shows the specific meeting room part (which comes after "https://kolbe.adobeconnect.com"), but click the information icon (i) for more information, including the full URL. As with the Schoology option, copy the URL from here in order to paste into the Adobe Connect application.

 

• Application users: copy the URL from the course's information page so you can paste it into the Adobe Connect application
• Browser users: click the link in the URL column to launch the room

 

 

Launching the Room from the Application

Once the URL has been copied, paste it into the application, then click Continue.

 

 

You may be prompted to enter your username and password on the next screen, or you will be taken directly to the classroom.

 

Recent and Favorite Courses

After using the application to open your courses, they will appear under the Recents section. You can click the link to launch the classroom. To add the room to your favorites, hover over it and click the star icon. It is highly recommended that you add all your current online courses to your favorites list so that you can easily access your classrooms throughout the school year without needing to constantly paste the course’s URL into the application.

 

 

Once you’ve added courses to your favorites list, you can access the list by clicking the Favorites tab. Clicking the course launches the classroom. To remove a course from your favorites, hover over it and click the X icon.
