One of the great features about your MyKolbe account is that it gives your student the ability to access Microsoft Office online products.  This article walks you through how to locate the products, including Outlook, which is used as the primary communication vehicle between students and staff.

If You Already Have Microsoft Office Products…

If you already have an Office Suite installed on the computer your student will be using (or any one-off Microsoft applications, like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) then you can sign into those using your student's mykolbe.org account for syncing of documents in One Drive etc.  As of August 2024, the student accounts from Kolbe Academy will no longer include free downloads of Microsoft office products or applications.

Accessing Microsoft Office Online Products

Once you have logged into your MyKolbe student account, you will be able to access Microsoft 365 online products.  From your homescreen, click on "Apps" to see all the apps available to you.

Now click the app you'd like to use!  Here's a very short description of each program you have access to.

  • Word is word processing program that can be used to complete typed assignments.
  • Excel is a spreadsheet program that can be used to organize information in rows and columns.
  • Powerpoint is a slide presentation program that can be used to create presentations of information with graphics and text.
  • Outlook is an email client that can be used to send and receive emails for students in grades 6-12.
  • OneNote is a note taking program that can be useful for organizing notes from classes or meetings.
