Using Zoom Products and Creating an Account

Kolbe Academy uses Zoom products (meetings, webinars, and events) for a variety of school-related events. In order to access these events, you will need a Zoom account. Creating a Zoom account is free and easy to do: go to zoom.us, click Sign Up, It's Free, and then walk through the steps as prompted by Zoom. A parent must create and monitor that the student is using the Zoom account in an appropriate way. If you need additional help setting up a Zoom account, please read this article and contact Zoom support with any issues.

If you already have an account, you can click Sign In.

Downloading the Zoom Application

Kolbe Academy recommends that you view all Zoom events on a computer. While you can attend events on a smartphone or tablet, a computer offers a better user experience. In order to view these on a computer, you will need to download the Zoom application. Go to Zoom Downloads and click the Download button. You may need to "unzip" the file in before running the installer. Please follow the steps that Zoom prompts you to complete.

NOTE: Before downloading, please ensure that your computer is up-to-date and meets the Zoom application requirements.

Logging into Zoom Meetings and Webinars

To log into your meeting or webinar, you will need to be logged into your Zoom account in the browser or application. Once logged in, you can access Zoom by using the link for the meeting/webinar and entering via the browser, which will open the application. Or, you can use the meeting ID and passcode to log in directly via the application.

Logging into Zoom Events

To log into Zoom Events, you will need to be logged into your Zoom account in the application. Then, you can open your registered event "ticket" (your ticket was emailed to you after you registered for the Zoom Event). To open the ticket, select View Ticket.

If you are not logged into your Zoom application, the event will not open. Please note that you must be logged into the Zoom application in order for the ticket to open properly. If it tries to open the event in the browser, you may need to go into your Zoom application and try to open the ticket again. Once the ticket opens, you will be able to enter into the event

Support and Assistance
