Kolbe is an accredited, private school located in the state of California. We file a private school affidavit annually with the state of California, and all California students are covered under this affidavit.

Be sure to follow all relevant laws for homeschooling in your state or country. HSLDA (Home School Legal Defense Association) is a reliable resource for understanding your state’s requirements. It is also advisable to reference the homeschool section of your state’s Department of Education website.

HSLDA

The Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) is a non-profit homeschooling advocacy organization begun in 1983. The HSLDA provides affordable legal defense and advice to homeschooling families in general as well as many other benefits to their members. Enrollment in Kolbe Academy entitles you to a discount on membership fees to the HSLDA.

Students in Other Countries

HSLDA also offers resources about other countries. We recommend researching locally to make sure you are complying with local laws regarding homeschooling. If you require a document with an Apostille, a certificate that internationally authenticates the signature of a public official on a particular document, read more about the process to request one here.
