Common Application

The Common Application is an undergraduate college admission application that applicants may use to apply to any of more than 950 member colleges. Common App consists of one larger application, but students must work through each college’s specific applications & submit them separately to each school through Common App's portal.

Top Tips:

  • Do not choose homeschool if you would like Kolbe's support with Common App.
  • Select Kolbe as your school and list your advisor as school counselor so we can support your application with a school report, recommendation letter, and official transcript.
  • The school report includes an official transcript. Transcripts do not need to be requested through Parchment for any schools where a student is applying through Common App. This can provide significant savings to families.
  • Not all Common App schools have the same writing, testing, essay, and letter of recommendation requirements. Be sure to review what is required for each application.
  • Common App opens on August 1.
